Pulling three pages out of a fourteen-page scan is a small task that most PDF software makes strangely tedious. Either you print to PDF with a page range and hope the settings stick, or you upload the whole document to a site that hands you back a fraction of it. Neither is difficult, exactly, but both ask more than the job is worth.
Here you click the pages. Every page in the file is a numbered tile, selected ones are highlighted, and the count updates as you go, so you can see what you are about to get before you commit to it. Shift-click covers runs, and the Odd and Even buttons handle the one case that is genuinely awkward to click by hand — separating the fronts and backs of a double-sided scan.
Nothing is uploaded. Your browser reads the PDF, copies the pages you chose into a new document and hands it back, so the file never leaves the machine it is on. Pages are copied rather than re-rendered, which means text stays selectable and images keep their resolution — extracting costs you nothing in quality, and the original is untouched.

How do I extract pages from a PDF for free? +

Should I use the page extractor or the PDF splitter? +
Use the extractor when you know which specific pages you want and would rather click them — pages 3, 7 and 12 out of a scan, for instance. Use the splitter when you are cutting a document into parts by a rule, such as every page separately or every five pages. Both leave the original file untouched.
Can I extract a single page from a PDF? +
Yes. Click that one page and press Extract, and you get a one-page PDF containing it. It is the most common reason people come to a tool like this.
Can I use this to remove pages from a PDF? +
Yes, by inverting the selection. Click the pages you want to get rid of, press Invert so everything else is selected instead, then extract. The result is your document without those pages.
Do the extracted pages keep their quality? +
Yes. Pages are copied into the new document rather than re-rendered, so text stays selectable and searchable, images keep their original resolution, and page size and orientation are preserved exactly.
Are my files uploaded anywhere? +
No. The PDF is read and the pages extracted entirely inside your browser. Nothing is transmitted, which is what makes this safe for contracts, statements, medical records and scanned ID. Once the page has loaded it works offline.
Can I extract pages from a password-protected PDF? +
Not directly. Pages cannot be copied out of an encrypted file without the password. Open it in your usual PDF viewer, save a copy with the password removed, then extract from that copy.
