History is one of the few subjects where ordering questions work better than multiple choice. Asking which of four events came first is more interesting — and harder — than asking for a single date, and it rewards understanding a period rather than memorising numbers. YAQUIZO includes sequence ordering as a first-class question type: you enter the events in the correct order and the renderer shuffles them for display, then animates them into place at the reveal.

For date-based questions, the wording is where a history quiz earns its keep. “1066” is an answer; “the last successful invasion of England” is a question worth asking.

The Luxury and Retro templates suit period content particularly well, though every template works with every question type.

Tips that actually help

Frequently asked questions

What is a sequence ordering question? +

You enter items in their correct order — events, rulers, inventions — and YAQUIZO shuffles them for display. At the reveal, the tiles animate into the right order with numbered badges.

Can I add images to history questions? +

Yes. Any question can carry an image, and there are dedicated guess-the-image question types if the picture is the question itself.

Can I reuse a quiz with different templates? +

Yes. Duplicate the project from the dashboard and change the template — your questions are untouched, and the whole look changes at once.
